Peter (Catherine's Student)

Greenside Music students are a hard-working and talented bunch!

Every half term, you'll be treated with a performance from one of Catherine's students and one of Georgina's students.

They'll also say a few words about why they're proud of this particular student.

Catherine says:

Peter has a rare and exceptional musical gift.  

His love for music is shown in his lessons where he often displays his creativity by improvising or adapting pieces to match a particular genre.  

It’s this love of exploring new ideas, matched with his perfect pitch and love for theory, that means his musical progress is outstanding. 

I’m exceptionally fortunate to have Peter as one of my students.

Peter doesn’t just play music.  Peter is music!

Peter says:

Piano is something that is there for me every day. 

I have the freedom to either create my own music or learn all kinds of different music to broaden my knowledge. 

It’s great to have a friendly teacher who helps me learn all different styles from classical to jazz. 

Having personalized lessons means I can choose to learn pieces I like, but I also like the fact I’m encouraged to discover music I wouldn’t normally play!
